Palumbo's

Palumbo’s sought a refreshed, modern menu system that maintained brand consistency across each of its store locations. The primary challenge was organizing an extensive selection of menu items into a clear, visually appealing layout while preserving readability and avoiding a cluttered appearance. Through thoughtful typography, hierarchy, and layout design, the new menus successfully showcased the full offering while delivering a clean and cohesive customer experience.

The Ask

Michael Cox needed a redesigned door hanger that effectively communicated his campaign platform, key election dates, and personal background. The challenge was presenting a large amount of information in a limited space without overwhelming voters, particularly older audiences who value clear, easy-to-read materials. By establishing a strong visual hierarchy, simplifying content organization, and prioritizing readability, the final design delivered all critical campaign messages in a clean, engaging, and accessible format.

The Design

To create an effective door hanger, I first prioritized the most important information voters needed to see at a glance, including Michael Cox's name, campaign message, and election date. I organized the content using a clear visual hierarchy, separating key campaign goals, personal background, and voting information into distinct sections. Large, legible typography and high-contrast colors were used to improve readability, especially for elderly voters. I also incorporated campaign branding elements and supporting imagery to create a professional, trustworthy appearance while ensuring the layout remained clean, balanced, and easy to navigate.

THE ASK

Half Time Beverage needed a versatile package insert system that could be updated monthly while maintaining a consistent brand experience. The objective was to create a reusable design framework that highlighted the top three featured beers each month through strategic color variations, while preserving the company's core brand identity. The challenge was balancing a playful, engaging aesthetic with a premium feel that reflected the quality of the products. By incorporating bold visuals, clear product hierarchy, and flexible color treatments, the final design allowed for seamless monthly updates while remaining recognizable, luxurious, and on-brand.

THE DESIGN

I designed a flexible template system that could be easily updated each month without changing the overall layout. To create a balance between playful and premium, I used bold typography, clean spacing, and strategic color variations while keeping Half Time Beverage's core brand colors consistent. The featured beers were given visual priority through strong hierarchy and product imagery, ensuring the insert remained engaging, easy to scan, and recognizable from month to month.
